this is not meant as a WAR trash post - I loved the game up through my mid-twenties but now I'm finding it extremely difficult to get over the T3 hump and grind my way to 40. The only thing that's remotely keeping me going is the thought that T4 will offer more RVR and city raids.

Anyhow, would love to hear from 40s about how RVR takes on a new dimension at max level, or how much fun fighting over cities and fortresses is. Because, to be honest, I'm really getting tempted to go give WOW another try. However, I don't want to be the guy who quits before 40 when the most fun aspects of the game are just around the corner.

Actually, yes. The top level dungeons tend to be harder and more complex, and at least back in the early days level 60 PVP was where it was at.
A better example might be Guild Wars - where getting to max level was just the beginning.
